Description

This is a terraced house, dating to around 1850, situated on a corner plot in Porchester Terrace, London. The house is constructed of yellow brick with stucco dressings, and its roof is not visible. The corner site has a concave plan, forming a ā€˜V’ shape. The house is three stories high, with seven windows on the main corner facade. This facade presents a symmetrical design, where the outer pairs of bays project slightly forward. A centrally placed entrance is slightly projecting and has a round-headed form, flanked by pilasters. A stucco cornice is located above the ground floor. The windows are square-headed, except for the round-headed windows that flank the central bay. The ground floor windows have pilasters, while the others are architraved, and all contain sash windows with plate glass. A stucco band is located above the first floor to the centre three bays. A main cornice runs above the second floor, topped by a parapet. The building is included on the list solely for its group value.
