Description

Abbotsfield is a late 1870s terraced house located on the south side of Abercorn Place, City of Westminster. The building has group value. It is constructed of red brick with a pitched tiled roof to the eaves. The house is three storeys high and comprises two main bays, with a broad, single-storey wing to the right under a separate hipped roof. A pilastered entrance is located on the right-hand bay, with a scrolled pediment and cut brick cartouche above. To the left is a square-sided, pilastered bay window, featuring a wrought iron balcony above. The second floor has four square, gauged-headed windows, with sash glazing bars. The eaves are coved and formed in tiles. The right-hand wing incorporates a recessed canted bay window, displaying an Ipswich motif. The interior has not been inspected.
