Description

TQ 2981 NW CITY OF WESTMINSTER GREAT TITCHFIELD STREET, 46/6 W1 14.1.70 No. 101 GV II Terrace house. Late C18. Stock brick with shallow rustication to ground floor, slate roof. 4 storeys and basement. 3 windows wide. Doorway to left with wooden case of Tuscan pilasters and consoles supporting a broken pediment. Door of 6 fielded panels in panelled reveals with a semicircular fanlight. Ground floor windows retain original recessed glazing bar sashes; 1st and 2nd floor windows have recessed sashes in stucco architraves with pulvinated friezes and cornices on 1st floor and a pediment over central window; flat red brick gauged arches to attic floor windows with original glazing bars. Low early C19 cast iron balconettes to 1st floor. Enriched plat band to 1st floor and modillion cornice over 2nd floor continuous with Nos. 95 to 99 (odd). Cast iron fleur-de-lis head area railings. No. 101 is of the same build as Nos. 95 to 99 (odd).
