Description

No. 101 Great Titchfield Street is a terrace house built in the late 18th century. It features stock brick construction with shallow rustication on the ground floor and has a slate roof. The building stands four storeys tall with a basement and is three windows wide. The doorway is located to the left and is framed by a wooden case with Tuscan pilasters and consoles that support a broken pediment. The door itself consists of six fielded panels set in panelled reveals, topped with a semicircular fanlight.

The ground floor windows maintain their original recessed glazing bar sashes, while the first and second floor windows have recessed sashes set within stucco architraves. These architraves feature pulvinated friezes and cornices on the first floor, with a pediment over the central window. The attic floor windows are adorned with flat red brick gauged arches and original glazing bars. There are low early 19th-century cast iron balconettes on the first floor, along with an enriched plat band at the first floor level and a modillion cornice above the second floor, which is continuous with Nos. 95 to 99 (odd). The area railings are made of cast iron and feature fleur-de-lis heads. No. 101 shares the same architectural style as Nos. 95 to 99 (odd).
