Description
No. 97 Great Titchfield Street is a terrace house built in the late 18th century. It features stock brick construction with a stucco ground floor and a slate roof. The building has four storeys and a basement, with a width of three windows. The doorway is located to the left and is framed by fluted pilasters that support an inswept frieze and cornice. It has a six-panel door and a fanlight above. The windows are recessed sash types without glazing bars, topped with flat red brick gauged arches above the ground floor. There is a plat band on the first floor and a modillion cornice over the second floor, which is continuous with the adjacent buildings at Nos. 95, 99, and 101, as seen in the parapet coping. The property is enclosed by cast iron spearhead area railings and is part of a group with Nos. 95, 99, and 101.
