Description

This is a terrace of houses at 41-49 Star Street, Westminster, built in the early 19th century. The buildings are constructed of brown brick with a stuccoed ground floor. The roof is hidden, although there has been some rebuilding at the second floor level. The terrace is three storeys high with a basement, and each section of the terrace has two bays. Round-arched entrances are present, some featuring fanlights. The windows on the upper floors are 16-pane sashes, originally set under cambered brick arches. Other sash windows feature glazing bars, also within gauged brick cambered arches. The basement is enclosed by spearhead railings topped with urn finials. The terrace forms part of a notably complete street of small, early 19th-century houses.
