Description

This is a terrace of two houses, at numbers 26 and 28 Star Street, built in the early 19th century. The exterior is brown brick with a stuccoed ground floor. The roof is hidden behind a parapet. The facade of number 28 has been rebuilt above ground floor level. The houses are three storeys high, with a basement, and each has two bays. They feature round-arched entrances, each topped with a fanlight. The upper windows are 16-pane sashes, and those above have glazing bars set under flat, gauged brick arches. The basement has arrow-head railings. The terrace forms part of a remarkably complete street of modest early 19th century houses.
