Description

This is a terrace of ten houses, numbered 3 to 33, on the north side of Alderny Street in the City of Westminster. Constructed around 1835, the terrace is built of yellow brick with stucco dressings and channelling to the ground floor. The roofs are not visible. The houses are three storeys high with a basement. Each house has a two-window front. The central houses, as well as numbers 11 and 25, project slightly forward. The houses have square-headed entrances with panelled doors. Cast iron balconies are present on the first floor. There are architraves above the ground-floor windows and cornices to the first-floor windows. The windows are sash windows with margin glazing. A modillion cornice runs along the building, and the front is protected by cast iron area railings.
