Description
This is a terrace of four houses, built in the early 19th century on Abbey Street in Southwark. The houses are constructed of yellow brick with stucco dressings, and have a rebuilt brick parapet. They are three storeys high with a basement, and each house has two bays. The front doors are distinguished by fluted quarter columns to the jambs, cornice heads, and fanlights, all within round-arched openings with stucco impost blocks. Ground-floor windows are set within round-arched recesses, also with stucco impost blocks. The windows on the first and second floors are topped with flat brick arches. At the time of survey, many windows were missing and ground-floor openings were boarded up. The interior of the houses has not been inspected. Cast-iron step railings are present at number 144. The terrace forms a group with numbers 122-132 on the same street.
