Description
This is a terrace of six houses located on the south side of Trinity Street in Southwark. Built between 1827 and 1832, the houses are constructed of yellow stock brick with a stucco frieze, cornice, and blocking course. Each house is two bays wide and has three storeys and a basement. The ground floor is stuccoed and rusticated, with bands forming the appearance of voussoirs around the round-arched ground-floor openings. The houses have panelled pilasters, cornice heads, and fanlights above the doorways; the fanlight to number 38 has been replaced with a window. The sash windows have glazing bars and are distinguished by stucco architraves, friezes, and cornices, with a sill band marking the first floor. The interiors were not inspected during the listing process. The terrace features cast-iron area railings with spearhead standards. Group value is present, reflecting the significance of the terrace within the surrounding urban landscape.
