Description

This is a warehouse backing onto St Saviour’s Dock, built around 1860 and partly rebuilt in the 20th century as part of a larger development with Dockhead Wharf. It is now used as residential flats. The building is constructed of stock brick and features a flat-roofed gable containing a lunette window. It rises six storeys and has three bays. The front elevation contains three segmental-arched recesses. Above the ground floor, the right bay has a hatch rank that has been adapted into balconies, with a hoist located on the fifth floor. The central and left bays contain segmental-arched windows. The rear elevation is similar in design to the dockside. The interior was not inspected during the listing process. The building contributes significantly to the group value of the warehouses located between St Saviour’s Dock and Shad Thames.
