Description

These are a group of four terraced houses, built in the 1850s as part of the Leinster Square/Prince’s Square development. The houses are constructed of stucco, with a hidden roof. They stand four storeys high, with an attic and basement level. Each house has a two-window frontage. The ground floor features channelling, and each house has a projecting Doric porch. The facades above the ground floor are convex. A continuous cast iron, bombé balcony runs across the first floor. The ground and third floors have square-headed windows, while the first-floor windows have rounded upper corners, cornices and pilasters. The upper attic windows are segmental headed. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, and they have architraves. The building is distinguished by a rich dentil cornice above the third floor and a subsidiary cornice to the attic. Cast iron area railings are present.
