Description

This is a corner terraced town house located on Blandford Street in the City of Westminster, dating from approximately 1790 to 1800 as part of the Portman Estate development. The building is constructed of stock brick with a concealed slate roof and extends over four storeys and a basement. It is four windows wide, with two windows blind, and has a two-window return to Manchester Street. A semicircular arched doorway is positioned in the second bay from the left. The door itself is set within stucco jambs and features enriched imposts, a fluted doorhead, a patterned fanlight, and a keystone shaped as a head. The windows are recessed sash windows, set beneath flat, gauged red brick arches. A stucco cornice and blocking course crown the building. The front is defined by a cast iron area railing topped with urn finials.
