Description
Nos 7 and 8 Kingly Street are a pair of terraced houses dating from around the mid-18th century. They are constructed of stuccoed brick and feature slated mansard roofs. Each house has three storeys and three bays. The ground floor of No 7 retains a plastered shop front from the late 18th century, complete with a plate glass window and paired shop and house doors. In contrast, No 8 has a shop front clad in 20th-century boarding. The windows are square-headed sashes with plate glass, although the two outer windows on the second floor of No 7 are blind. Both houses have parapets. Inside, the properties feature well-preserved original staircases with a dog leg design, turned balusters, and closed strings, along with some panelling, cornices, and doors.
