Description
19 Kingly Street is a terrace house built around 1720, with alterations made in the early to mid-19th century that included refronting and heightening. The building is constructed of stock brick with stucco dressings and has a slate roof. It stands four storeys tall and is two windows wide. The ground floor features a mid-20th century former café front, while the upper floors have recessed plate glass windows set within stucco architraves that include cornices. At the top, there is a stucco crowning cornice and a blocking course. Inside, the house retains much of its original rebated panelling along with box cornices on the upper floors. There are also remnants of a passage hall that includes a dog leg, closed string staircase with turned balusters and column newels.
