Description

TQ 2880 NW CITY OF WESTMINSTER LEES PLACE, W1 68/18 5.2.70 No. 23 with screen wall (all part of No. 61 Green Street)

Former coach houses and screen wall to garden of No. 61 Green Street q.v. C.18, remodelled early C.19. Stock brick, with stucco to garden, slate roofs. 2 and 3 storey range 4 windows wide to left continued by screen wall. Ground floors have C.20 garage doors but lunette fanlight early C.19 doorway survives to left. Upper floors have recessed glazing bar sashes. Parapets with copings. The screen wall is divided by plain gateway and on the garden side, facing No. 61, is concealed by a pair of stuccoed quadrant pavilions flanking this axis with blind windows and band cornice to parapets.
