Description
No. 19 Hertford Street is a terraced town house built around 1768-1770 as part of the development on the south side of Hertford Street by the elder Henry Holland, his son, and in partnership with John Eldridge. The house features a brown brick exterior with a channelled stucco ground floor and a slate roof. It stands four storeys high with a dormered mansard roof and is built over a basement. The façade is three windows wide, with the entrance located to the right. This entrance includes a recessed six-panel door with sidelights, topped by a segmental arched fanlight that has a keystone under a moulded cornice. The windows are recessed sash types without glazing bars, each set under flat gauged arches. The building has a plain parapet with coping and is enclosed by wrought iron area railings.
