Description
No. 13 Moor Street is a terrace house built around 1738, likely by William Bignell. It is constructed of brown brick and has a concealed roof. The building stands four storeys high and is three windows wide. The ground floor features a replica shop front that replaces an original from around 1800, showcasing glazing bar windows and fanlights above the transom, with a house doorway to the right that has an early 19th-century character. This is flanked by slender pilasters, an inswept fascia, and a mutule cornice. The upper floors have recessed sash windows without glazing bars, set under flat gauged arches. The parapet is topped with coping. Inside, the house retains some plain sunk panelling, plain stone chimneypieces, and closed string dog leg stairs with turned balusters.
