Description
The Bunch of Grapes Public House is a public house dated 1882, located in Shepherd Market, City of Westminster. It is built from yellow and red brick with painted dressings and features a slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall with a dormered mansard roof and occupies a corner site that includes a passageway to Curzon Street. The south side has three windows, while the west side has four. The ground floor has plain painted public house fronts beneath an entablature. The upper floors feature recessed sash windows set under segmental arches. The canted corner of the building includes a panel with a relief of a bunch of grapes and the date. The structure is topped with a crowning entablature that has a dentil cornice. This public house is a Victorian rebuild and is part of Edward Shepherd's development of the market from around 1746.
