Description

30 Shepherd Market is a terrace house dating from the later 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. Constructed of yellow brick and stucco, it has a slate roof. The house is three storeys high and two windows wide. The ground floor shop front was altered in the mid-20th century. The upper floors feature recessed sash windows with stucco architraves. A parapet with coping tops the building. It is part of the Shepherd Market development which was laid out around 1735 and built around 1746. The development was the work of Edward Shepherd, who both built and designed the houses on the Grosvenor and Cavendish Estates.
