Description
This is a row of terraced houses located on Elizabeth Street in Westminster, built in the early 19th century and subsequently altered. The houses, numbered 55 to 63 (odd), are mostly two windows wide, although number 63 has been reconstructed as a four-storey building. The ground floors now contain 20th-century shops, with the exception of number 55, which retains its original façade. The houses are constructed of brick, with some stucco detailing, and the roof is not visible. They have three storeys, except for the reconstructed number 63. Number 55 features an arched entrance. A continuous cast iron balcony with an anthemion pattern is located on the first floor. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars. A simplified cornice sits above the second floor, and the building is topped with a parapet. The properties are listed for their group value.
