Description

Nos 38 to 42 on Park Road are a row of terraced houses built around 1822 as part of a Crown Estate development that coincided with Nash's Sussex Place in Regent's Park. The houses are constructed from stock brick with stucco ground floors and feature slate roofs. They are arranged with three storeys, a basement, and dormered mansards, with each house having a two-window wide front. The left side of each house has a semicircular arched doorway with panelled doors and fanlights, which have a radial pattern on Nos 38 and 42. The ground floor windows are also semicircular arched, while the upper floors have flat gauged arches and recessed sash windows with intact glazing bars, except for two at No 38. There is a plat band above the ground floor, and the houses have stone coped parapets. Each property has front gardens and steps leading up to the doors, along with plain cast iron area railings.
