Description
No. 3 Henrietta Street is a terrace house rebuilt between 1780 and 1781, with stucco dressings added in 1876-1877 by W. Limbird. The building is constructed of brown brick with stucco dressings and features a slate roof. It stands four storeys high with a basement and is three windows wide.
The ground floor is finished in stucco that mimics stone coursing and includes a late 18th-century doorway on the right. This doorway has a pilastered case with modified console brackets that support an entablature adorned with a frieze featuring paterae. The door is panelled and topped with a semicircular fanlight. The ground floor sash windows are framed with architraves and have vermiculated keystones.
The upper floors have architraved sashes, with the first floor featuring a pediment over the central window and a segmental pediment. The outer second-floor windows have cornices flanking the central pedimented window. Additional architectural details include sill bands, a crowning dentil cornice, and a balustraded parapet. The property is enclosed by cast iron area railings topped with urn finials.
