Description

This is a pair of terraced houses, numbers 29 and 30, and a single house, number 31, dating from approximately 1810 to 1820, built as part of the Portman Estate development. They are constructed of stock brick, with numbers 29 and 30 painted; the roofs are slate, but concealed behind parapets on the first two properties. The houses are three storeys high with a basement, while number 31 has a dormered mansard roof. Each house is two windows wide. They have semicircular arched doorways, the doorway for number 29 being on the right and the others on the left, each with a panelled door and a plain fanlight above. The windows are recessed, with glazing bars and are set under flat, gauged arches. The buildings are topped with stone coped parapets. They have cast iron area railings with urn finials.
