Description
No. 21 Buckingham Street is a terrace house built around 1700, with a front added around 1800. It is made of stock brick and has a slate roof. The building has four storeys and a basement, and it is two windows wide. The doorway is located to the right and features a stucco surround with a cornice supported by console brackets, a panelled door, and a patterned fanlight above. The recessed sash windows are set under flat gauged arches. The building has a parapet with coping and cast iron area railings topped with urn finials. Inside, there are notable late 17th-century features, including panelling, moulded cornices, and a closed, moulded string staircase with spiral balusters and twin-baluster newels.
