Description
No. 21 John Adam Street is a terrace house built between 1675 and 1676, with early to mid-19th century alterations to the front. The building is constructed of stuccoed brick and has a concealed roof. It stands four storeys tall with a basement and is two windows wide. The doorway is located to the right and features a plain stucco architrave with a cornice and a panelled floor. The ground floor has a recessed tripartite glazing bar sash window with curved corners to the reveals beneath the lintel. The upper floors have recessed sash windows with square heads. There is a sill band on the first floor and a parapet with coping. The property is also adorned with wrought iron area railings. Inside, the house retains its original panelling, box cornices, a dog leg closed string turned baluster staircase, and a rear closet wing.
