Description
No. 6 Langley Street is a warehouse built in the early 19th century, originally part of a brewery complex. The building is constructed of yellow stock brick and features a slate roof. It stands five storeys tall and is four windows wide. The ground floor has been altered in the later 20th century, with new doorways and display windows. The upper floors are distinguished by segmental gauged arch windows set within through-storey recesses. There is a brick plat band at the first floor and a main brick cornice above the second floor, along with a two-storey attic that has parapet coping. This building is a rare example of warehousing from this period and quality, especially considering the demolition of similar structures in Dockland.
