Description
Nos 17 and 19 Neal Street is an early 19th-century warehouse that was originally part of a brewery complex. It is constructed of stock brick and features a slate roof. The building stands four storeys high and is four bays wide. The ground floor openings have been altered in the mid and later 20th century. The upper floors are characterized by blind windows set in a giant arcade, with a plat band and a stucco parapet. This building is similar to and part of the same brewery development as Nos 3 to 7. It is a rare surviving example of warehousing from this period and quality, especially following the demolition of many similar structures in Dockland.
