GV II

Terrace house. C.1770, altered c.1830. Stucco faced slate roof. Four storeys; basement; slated mansard with dormers. Three windows wide, channelled ground floor with Greek Doric porch to right. Main cornice at third floor level and attic storey with cornice and balustraded parapet. Architrave surrounds to sashes, those on first floor with alternate segmental and triangular pediments and cast iron balconettes, glazing bars intact to upper floor sashes. Cast iron area railings. Interior has c.1830 screen of 2 composite columns to ground floor room, staircase balustrade mid C19. First floor former drawing room has delicate plasterwork ceiling of late C18 and shallow wall panels framing cameos possibly also C18 or early C20 version etc.
