Description
29 Bruton Street is a mid-18th century terrace house that has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. The building is constructed of brown brick and features a slate roof. It stands four storeys tall and has three windows. There is a main cornice at the third floor level, along with a cornice and blocking course at the attic storey. The first floor windows have been lowered and feature a sill band. The windows are revealed sashes without glazing bars, topped with gauged flat arches. A later 20th-century shop front has been added. Inside, although the staircase in the front compartment was redone in the early 20th century, the ceiling still retains an oval compartment design, and the original doorcases and door furniture are preserved.
