Description

Serpentine Lodge, located by Serpentine Road south of Ranger's Cottage, is an estate cottage built around 1840. It is constructed from stock brick and features a slate roof. The building is single storey and has a south front that is three bays wide. The central entrance is framed in brick and includes a panelled door with a rectangular fanlight above, all set under a flat gauged arch. The outer bays have recessed glazing bar sashes, also under flat gauged arches. The roof is low pitched and hipped, with overhanging bracketed eaves, and there is a central chimney stack with a cornice. This building is included in the register for its group value only.
