Description
No. 239 is a terraced house located in Knightsbridge, built in the early 19th century and altered in the mid-19th century. The building is covered in stucco, and while the roof is not visible, it stands four storeys tall with a basement and features two windows across its facade. The entire front is designed as a segmental bow window above the ground floor. The ground floor has channelling and a projecting porch with rounded corners, topped with a cornice and parapet. The entrance is semicircular with a panelled door. Above the ground floor, the windows are square-headed with architraves, corniced on the second floor, and pedimented on the first floor, which includes a continuous bombé balcony. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, and the first floor has French casements. The building is finished with a console cornice and parapet, and there are cast iron railings in the area.
