Description

A pair of semi-detached houses dating to circa 1840, located on the east side of Maida Vale. The houses are constructed of brick with stucco dressings and have slate hipped roofs set behind parapets. Each house has a two-window width, plus two-storey, one-bay projections extending to the outer edges of the pair. The main body of the houses is set forward slightly, featuring pilastered and corniced entrances. They have panelled doors within architraves. The windows are square-headed with sashes, and casements at No. 118, with glazing bars and cast iron window guards to the ground floor. A cornice runs above the first floor. The houses are topped with a parapet, and have pedimental blocking courses to the outer bays. Gabled attic windows are present on each house. These houses are part of a sequence of similar pairs that line Maida Vale.
