Description

Two linked houses located on Hamilton Terrace, dating from the mid-19th century. They are constructed of brick with stucco dressings, and have hipped slate roofs. Each house is three storeys and three windows wide. The centre of number 147 and the right-hand bay of number 149 feature projecting porches with solid, pilastered sides. The windows are square-headed with architraves and retain their original sash glazing bars. Number 147 has a console cornice and parapet, while number 149 has bracketed eaves cornices. Number 149 also includes a taller, four-storey projecting block with a pitched roof, deep eaves, and blind arched windows to the ground floor, creating an Italianate style feature. There is a return to the right of the three main bays of number 149.
