Description

No. 21 Little Portland Street is a warehouse with offices, built in 1910 by Beresford Pite. It features yellow stock brick with stone dressings and a slate roof. The facade is generously glazed in Pite's distinctive Free Style. The building has four storeys and is two and a half bays wide. The central entrance is arched, with a semicircular arched staircase doorway to the right, which is linked to a circular framed bay light above. The main entrance archway is recessed in three orders, with consistent imposts but varied springing heights, a label mould, and a keystone. The windows are segmental and semicircular arched, closely set with casement lights, and the arches rise from vestigial columns and imposts. There is a three-light lunette on the third floor below a flat gable, and segmental arched windows at the mezzanine levels to the right, which light the staircase.
