Description
This is a terrace of houses with shops, dating to around 1820 and built as part of a redevelopment contemporary with Carnaby Street. The buildings are constructed of stock brick, with slate roofs, and extend over four storeys. Each front is two windows wide. The ground floors retain original wooden shop fronts, which include the doorways to the houses. These shop fronts have pilasters and an entablature, with house doors consisting of six panels and shop doors which are half-glazed and panelled. The doors to numbers 5, 6, and 9, and the fanlights above (except at numbers 7 and 10) retain small panes of glass with margin glazing. The shop windows at numbers 3 and 6 still have glazing bars dividing the windows into larger panes. Upper floors have recessed sash windows with glazing bars, set under flat, gauged arches. A parapet runs along the top of the building with stone coping.
