Description
Nos. 33 and 34 Marshall Street are terrace houses built around 1820. They are constructed of stock brick and feature slate roofs, rising to four storeys. Each house has a front that is two windows wide. The ground floors have square-headed doorways on the right, which contain panelled doors and small pane fanlights with marginal glazing. There is provision for wooden shop fronts with pilasters that support an entablature, but the shop windows were either never installed or were replaced early on with recessed glazing bar sashes. The upper floors feature recessed glazing bar sashes set beneath flat gauged arches. The buildings have a parapet with coping and are part of the redevelopment of Carnaby Street and Newburgh Street from around 1820.
