Description
This is a row of four houses located at 19-23 Chapel Street, in the City of Westminster, dating from the early 19th century. The houses are constructed of brick with the ground floors finished in channelled stucco. The roofs are not visible. The entrances are segmental headed, with No. 19 exhibiting a semicircular design. No. 22 features an added projecting Doric porch. The houses have panelled doors, square headed windows with gauged heads, and sash windows with glazing bars. Plate glass has been used in the windows of No. 23 and partially in those of No. 20. Wrought iron balconies are present on the first floor of the houses, with No. 22 featuring a stucco balustrade instead. The houses are topped with parapets, and have spearhead area railings.
