Description
This is a row of houses located at 8 to 14 Chester Street in the City of Westminster, dating from the early 19th century. The buildings are constructed of brick with channelled stucco on the ground floor. They rise five storeys above a basement and each house is three windows wide. The entrances are segmental headed and feature inset fluted Doric columns, with some having decorative fanlights. The first floor has wrought iron balconies with a Greek key pattern. The windows are square gauged headed sashed windows, some with glazing bars, and there are French casements on the first floor. The buildings have parapets and panelled doors, along with cast iron area railings. Notably, there is a lantern with an overarch at No 12, and steps leading up to the entrances.
