Description

Nos 28 to 32 Chapel Street are terraced houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of brick, with stucco applied to the ground floor, except for No 29. The buildings feature parapets, and while the roofs are not visible, they stand four storeys tall, with No 30 being slightly taller than the others. Each house is two windows wide and has arched entrances with panelled doors. No 29 has a plate glass shop front, likely from the 20th century. The first floor features iron balconies designed in a "Gothick" style, except for No 29, which has a bombé design. The windows are square-headed with gauged heads, sashes, and glazing bars, while No 32 has plate glass. Nos 28, 30, and 31 have French casements on the first floor. No 30 also has a cornice, and all the houses are complemented by wrought iron area railings.
