Description
Nos 33 to 37 Chapel Street are a row of terraced houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of brick and feature slate mansard attics on Nos 33, 36, and 37. The houses are three storeys high with a basement, while Nos 34 and 35 have four full storeys. Each house has two windows across. The ground floor is finished in stucco, except for No 33, and Nos 34 and 35 have channelling. The ground floor windows of Nos 36 and 37 have been altered. Most doorways are square-headed, while Nos 34 and 37 have arched doorways. The first-floor balconies vary in design and were likely added in the 20th century for Nos 34 and 35. The windows are square gauged headed sashed with glazing bars, except for Nos 34 and 35, which feature French casements on the first floor and a stucco cornice. Wrought iron area railings are present in front of the houses.
