Description
No. 3 Dean Trench Street is a terraced town house built in 1924. It features red brick and Portland stone with a tiled roof, designed in a well-detailed neo-Georgian style. The building has three storeys, a basement, and a dormered attic, and it is four windows wide. The entrance is located to the right and has an arched and pedimented doorway. The windows are recessed glazing bar sashes set under flat gauged arches. A stone eaves cornice adds to the architectural detailing, and there are cast iron area railings. This property is included for its group value in the sensitive early 20th-century redevelopment of this street and the west side of Smith Square.
