Description
No. 2 Harley Street is a terraced house built in the mid-18th century. It features a brown brick and stone exterior with a slate roof. The building has three storeys, a basement, and a mansard roof with dormers. There are three windows on the façade, although only two are present on the second floor. The windows have revealed glazing bar sashes. The ground floor is distinguished by a Doric order, while the first floor showcases Ionic columns, a dentil cornice, and a pediment, along with a wrought iron balustrade on the balcony. An enriched plat band decorates the second floor, topped by a cornice and blocking course. Inside, the house retains a cut string stone staircase with a wrought iron balustrade, along with mid-18th century plasterwork on the ceilings and original doorcases.
