Description
Two lamp standards located in the middle of Oxford Street, between the junctions with John Princes Street and Hollies Street, date from the early 20th century. These tall, circular-section cast iron standards feature elaborate double brackets that support hanging hexagonal opal glass lanterns. The square section base is adorned with foliated relief decoration, and one side displays the arms of St Marylebone Borough Council in relief.
