Description

No 26 Wandle Road is an earlier 19th century, two-storey house with a symmetrical design, featuring three windows across its facade. It is constructed of yellow stock bricks with stucco dressings. The entrance has a door surround with a flat hood supported by foliate consoles. The door itself includes two round-arched glazed panels and a square fanlight above. The windows are framed with moulded architraves, and the central window on the first floor has French doors. A continuous stone balcony on the first floor is supported by delicate iron openwork piers, which also hold an iron balustrade and piers that support a tent roof. The overall design is noted for its delicacy. The parapet has been altered, and the end stacks feature oversailing courses.
