Description
Numbers 1 to 6 are early 19th-century townhouses located on the east side of Tredegar Square. They are part of a larger group that includes Numbers 48 to 64 and the Cooper’s Company School on Morgan Street. The houses are three storeys high with a basement, and each has two windows. They are rendered with a decorative band, cornice, and blocking course. The ground-floor windows are round-arched, while the first-floor windows are within round-headed arches. The windows are sash windows, some with glazing bars. The doorways have round-headed fanlights and fluted pilasters, surrounded by coved stucco. Original iron-railed steps and some area railings remain.
