Description

This is an early 19th century terrace of houses situated on the east side of Aberavon Road. The houses are constructed of brick with a stucco plinth. The facade of number 32 has been painted. Architectural details include a stucco band at the eaves, a blocking course, and an additional band between the ground and first floors. The terrace comprises two and three-storey houses with basements, presenting two windows each, except for number 34, which has three. The upper-storey windows are set within shallow recessed arches with impost bands, and have sash windows with glazing bars. Lower-storey windows have segmental arches, and are largely sashes with margin lights and glazing bars. Doorways are round-headed, featuring keystones, impost bands, plain fanlights, and fluted pilasters. Wrought iron area railings with ball finials (some damaged) are present at numbers 2 to 6 and 10 to 20. Numbers 1 to 45 (odd) and numbers 2 to 154 (even) form a group of terraces on opposite sides of the road.
