Description

No 1 on Aberavon Road is an early 19th-century building. It is finished in stucco and features an eaves cornice and a blocking course, topped with a slate mansard roof. The building has two storeys and dormers, with three sash windows that include glazing bars. The ground floor showcases a well-preserved contemporary shop front, complete with a cornice and architrave, and Corinthian pilasters. There is a central bay window with cast iron arched mullions, flanked by doors, and an additional round-headed window, although some glazing bars are missing. This property is part of a group of terraces, which includes Nos 1 to 45 (odd) and Nos 2 to 34 (even).
