The gate piers to St George in the East's Gardens are late 18th century to early 19th century structures made of brick and stone, featuring ornamental designs and topped with iron finials. They are part of a well-defined group that includes the Dolphin Public House, Nos 192 to 224 (even), No 230, The Britannia Public House, and The Town Hall, all located on the south side of Cable Street.
