Description
Fairfield Match Works is a late 19th-century building located on Fairfield Road. It has an irregular shape and is constructed of red brick with blue brick banding. The roof is also irregular and covered with slate. A notable feature is the corner turret topped with a pyramidal cap. The building has two bays facing the road and stands three storeys high, featuring two gothic arched windows with unbarred sashes. The buildings and wall of the listed part of Fairfield Match Works are significant for their contributions to the social and economic history of Bow.
