Description

This is an early 19th century terrace block located on the north side of Morgan Street, E3. The building is constructed of stock brick, with the ground floor of number 27 finished with channelled stucco. It has a stucco plinth and a coped parapet, and the roof is not visible. The building is two storeys high with a basement. Each property has two windows; the upper floor windows have gauged, flat brick arches, while the ground floor windows are round headed. All are sash windows with painted reveals, and most of the original glazing bars remain. The doorways are round headed with projecting impost caps, and each has a fanlight above the door. Numbers 27 to 41 (the odd numbers) form a group with numbers 10 to 20 (the even numbers).
